YAY! Today I purchased my much needed UV filter and my polarized filter :) This weekend its going to be beautiful and I think I am going to capture some pretty awesome pictures! I will post them later! Happy New Year! I  hope this year is full of success for everyone. Much love,

New Camera-New Christmas Pics 2011

Remember this is my first time shooting with the camera. I had gotten it an hour before I took these pictures....

So for Christmas I received the best gift......drum roll please....a Nikon DSLR 3100!! Hooray! I am well on my way now to starting up my business. This camera is so nice I cant begin to explain it! I am blessed beyond reason and I am forever grateful to my loving Mom and Dad(Karen) for my gift of success :)

I took a ton of pictures this weekend with my #1 model Douglas Tiemersma. He killed it with tons of style, smiles, and different attire. I cant wait to edit them and post them to see what my first set of "professional" pics look like.
I am starting on my friends and their kids this weekend during our new years party at Dereks. Everyone please dress the kids in very colorful clothing and look good your damn self please!!!

Not quitting my day job

I just want to CLARIFY that I am not quitting my day job anytime soon IF AT ALL. It takes years and years of getting little weekend jobs here and there just to be able to get your name out there. This is just a "hobby business" for now and just something I think I would enjoy doing and be good at. I will be taking FREE photos at first of all my friends and their children just to put in my portfolio. If anyone is interested in taking free pics to help market LAM Photography please email me directly @ ansleycam@gmail.com. 
I will start taking "professional" photos hopefully around March 2012 after I get all my camera and accessories. Remember this is just the beginning, and mostly just to make EXTRA money so I can raise my son without worrying about income constantly.

I can see my followers on my blog now :) I am SO happy!

Broken Thingy.........

I dont know why but it wont show my followers box on the actual web page so I just deleted the stupid box all together!! I was starting to really freak out about why it was not showing the people who are subscribed and I just thought it best to get rid of it. Too much stress. I feel like I have made some good progress on business ideas as far as developers, different camera accessories, and I am even researching awesome places to take natural light photos at all times in the day. I got my blog set up too :) Yay me!!

I am just now starting to get all my ideas out and on this blog and I must say it feels great to actually see something coming together. I did obsess over making this blog. Man there are SO many colors, fonts, and styles of this thing. I NEVER knew!! Whew, it makes for one tired Mom!

First Steps.....

Well today I have taken one of the MANY first steps to being a photography business. I am very good at marketing and I thought to myself "why not start a blog?". I need a place to post pictures, and have people throw around ideas to me. I am open to any and every single idea someone has. Feel free! The road is still long ahead in front of me, and until I get my website up and running this will be where I post new photos I take. I cant wait to start taking pictures of all my beautiful friends and their children :) I am so excited take a leap of faith and put my everything into something there are no guarantees on. Photography is a competitive business and I just want to succeed.
